ALISSA
-- MAINE
She got her start in logging sports 5 years ago at Timber
Tina's 'Great Maine Lumberjack Show' in Trenton, Maine.
She is a top All Around Lumberjill and excels in Chopping,
Sawing, Axe Throwing, Log Rolling but look out when she
gets a 'HOT' Chain Saw in her hands, it is one of her
favorite events! She has appeared on ABC's 'Life Moments,'
a show about women doing firsts, they filmed her at her
first wood chopping competition!
And she was recently seen Axe Throwing on Outdoor Life
Network's "Park Raving Mad", a series about
America's National Parks. Alissa works with her Father
operating a caretaking and landscaping business on beautiful
Mount
Desert Island, where they serve private homes near Acadia
National Park. |

ALLISON
- MAINE/PENNSYLVANIA
This young lady took root in Logging Sports when she joined
the Woodsmen's Athletic Team while attending the University
of Maine in Orono. She is a Senior and is studying as
an art major with minors in business and art history.
She enjoys metal sculpture which includes aluminum and
bronze casting and she is great at all types of welding.
She is a versatile Lumberjill and considers Log Rolling
and the Standing Block Chop as her
favorites, although her strong event is Underhand. To
help keep in shape during the off season she enjoys rock
climbing, running and other traditional college shenanigans! |

ANDREA
-- NEW YORK
Andrea has been competing over 15 years; she got her start
at Finger Lakes Community College when she joined the
Woodsmen's team as an extracurricular event! Her husband,
who is a Stihl Timbersports Champion Axeman, helped
introduce her to the sport. She was one of the Jills that
went to New Zealand in 2003 & Australia in 2005 to
represent the USA on a Relay Team; she competed in the
Jill & Jill Cross-Cut team event. She will also be
representing us in Sydney, Australia at the Royal Easter
Show in 2006 to compete in Cross Cut Sawing, Underhand
Chopping as well as being on the relay team! |

ARIN
-- WISCONSIN
Arin has been Log Rolling since she was a young lass of
only 10, learning this sport in Northern Wisconsin in
the local youth program. She has won several World Titles
in her divisions of Log Rolling at the Lumberjack World
Championships. She was a cheerleader at her high school
for basketball and hockey. Arin is active in volleyball
and enjoys basketball & bicycling. Doing exhibitions
with the Chics with Axes introduced her into the Chain
Sawing, Cross Cut Sawing and Axe Throwing events, which
broadened her horizons in the sport. She is always exciting
on stage and doing shows helps keep up her skills in our
off-season. |

BUFFY
-- WISCONSIN
Buffy is one of Logging Sports Entertainment's finest
announcers! She earned a degree in English and Theatre
at the University of Minnesota, a Masters Degree in English
from Marquette University; still she wasn't satisfied
and went back to Marquette for a Master of Science in
Nursing! When she's not
traveling with the Jills, she is the director of the Nursing
Program at the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Community College. |

DENISE
-- WISCONSIN
Denise has been log rolling since she was 9 years old.
She won all amateur titles before turning pro and she
won the Gold in Women's Log Rolling at the Lumberjack
World Championships & USA Nationals two times. She
was the director of the world's largest log rolling school
for many years. She was recently recognized for her talents
at the Newark YMCA 2005 Sports Legends Gala, an event
honoring many talented athletes form North America! She
has traveled to Australia 6 times with Timber Tina to
perform in log rolling exhibitions. |

ERICA
-- NEW YORK
Erica got her start in logging sports while attending
the Finger Lakes Community College in NY. She was a member
of the collegiate team from 1989 - 1991. She, along with
her husband who is a top American competitor, travels
to over 25 competitions each summer! Her favorite events
include Jack & Jill and Jill & Jill Cross-Cut
Sawing, Underhand Chopping and Chain-sawing, don't blink
when she is running her modified Hot Saw or you'll miss
it! Woodmizer is her sponsor. |

MAGGIE
-- CALIFORNIA
Maggie started logrolling at the age of 5 at her local
YMCA, in her hometown in WI where they have a very successful,
year round rolling program. She has taught logrolling
for over 7 years. She went Pro when she was 16, at which
time she also began to compete in the Boom Run Event.
She currently competes in a variety of lumberjack contests:
Log Rolling, Boom Run, Axe Throw, Underhand Chop, Cross-Cut
and Stock Saw! She has competed at ESPN’s Great
Outdoor Games every year from 2000 and on. She works as
a program developer in Los Angeles. |

MICHELLE
-- MAINE
Michelle also got her start in Logging Sports at Timber
Tina's 'Great Maine Lumberjack Show' in Trenton, Maine,
but she is no newcomer to athletics, she is in her 9th
year of teaching and is the K- 8 Health, Fitness, &
Physical Education Teacher at Lamoine Consolidated School
in Maine. She is also the Athletic Director, Coed Soccer
coach, and both boys & girls basketball coach! And
if that weren't enough to keep her busy, she spends
many weekends during summer months on a pit crew for her
father-in-law, Ricky Morse's stock car racing team...
doing body work, basic engine maintenance, car set-up,
and tire hanging!!!! AND she is a top All Around Lumberjill
and competes in all of the events in the Chics with Axes
events! |

SHANNON
-- CONNECTICUT
She is a many time All-Around Lumberjill Champion! Shannon's
father, Cal Strong, a past, but celebrated Mr. Connecticut,
introduced her into these events as a young girl, starting
with Axe Throwing, with a down-sized version of a Target
& Axe. She has spent countless summers traveling to
competitions to highlight these skills and enjoys Chopping,
Sawing, Chain Sawing, Axe Throwing. she is the only woman
to throw a perfect score of 15
at many events! Shannon is the only logging sports competitor
to be on the David Letterman Show and has been on To Tell
The Truth also! |

SARAH
-- NOVA SCOTIA Sarah
grew up log rolling in Wisconsin and has made Canada her
home for 10 years. She has been competing for over 20
years and is Canada's # 1 ranked female log roller. She
is one of the only logging sports athletes to make it
in Sports Illustrated. |

TAYLOR
-- WISCONSIN
She started logrolling at the age of 6 and has been competing
for over 15 years! She is the youngest women to ever win
the Boom Run Title at the Lumberjack World Championships,
taking the Gold at the age of 15. Taylor has been competing
at ESPN's Great Outdoor Games since she was 17 where she
has won Gold and Silver medals. She is currently attending
UW-Superior; she is majoring in Exercise Science and has
a minor in Health. She'll be graduating in May 2006, and
then going on to Graduate School for Dentistry. She plays
college basketball. |

TINA
-- WISCONSIN / MAINE
Tina has been Log Rolling for 35 years, starting out
as a young girl in Hayward, Wisconsin and it has literally
taken her around the World. Through her involvement
in Rolling, she became interested in Chopping and Sawing
and became an ardent voice for Women in the sport. She
was the first woman to compete in each of the Chopping,
Sawing and Log Rolling events, the original All Around
Lumberjill! She is responsible for introducing Women's
Chopping & Sawing to The Lumberjack World Championships
in Hayward, Wisconsin. Tina has been to Australia 10
X with her exhibitions and competitions and she was
the first Woman to Underhand Chop and Single-Hand Saw
at the Royal Sydney Show in Australia in April of 2001.
She was the only female member of a team of Axemen that
competed in South Africa & the 1st Stihl Timbersports
event in Germany. Timber Tina has been the voice of
the Stihl Timbersports Series
for 10 years. She also started The Great Maine Lumberjack
Show in Trenton, Maine 10 years ago and is the owner/operator
of the World Champion Lumberjills. |
